About
A private members' club founded in 1894 on the former Gidea Hall Estate, with the course designed by James Braid during his tenure as club professional. At 6,408 yards (par 71) with three par 4s over 450 yards, it is no pushover. Braid won his first Open Championship while still the pro here.
