About
A James Braid heathland design from 1928, rare for Essex which is mostly clay. Narrow fairways carved through gorse and heather, big greens, and distinctive crescent-shaped bunkers. At over 6,600 yards (par 72) it has hosted Open Championship regional qualifying.
